STONEWALL GOLF CLUB

Stonewall Golf Club is a high end daily fee golf course and clubhouse completed in late 2001. Designed by Tom Jackson, the course is located within the Lake Manassas Community. Many holes border the lake providing golfers with beautiful views and challenging shots. The course provides wonderful vistas for the homes within this high end community which increase the value and desirability of the residential real estate. The course has received many accolades including Best Public Golf Course, Washingtonian Magazine 2003, Honorable Mention, Golf Inc. December 2002 and others. SouthStar provided complete development oversight, project management, financial accounting and continues to provide financial and operational review.

The Stonewall Clubhouse a full service facility including restaurant, banquet room, conference room and pro shop. The architect, ADG; the Landscape Architect, Haden-Stanziale and the Interior Design firm, Sterling Design Group, sought a regional Virginia country estate aura from the start. The centerpiece of the clubhouse is the Brass Cannon Restaurant, featuring an expansive cherry wood bar, stone fireplace and exquisite faux finished walls which together give the room a club like atmosphere. Expansive views of the 18th hole and lake greet every patron. The beautiful Magnolia Banquet Room is spacious and lighted with wooden shutter blinds. The clubhouse is used extensively for weddings, receptions, conferences, tournaments and other celebratory events.

The Stonewall Golf Course features 5 sets of tee boxes and measuring in length from 4,889 yards to 7002 yards at the tips. With lake and pond views on 13 holes playing on Stonewall is as scenic as it is challenging. With a slope rating of 142 it is no wonder that Stonewall is considered the 2nd most difficult course in Northern Virginia behind The Robert Trent Jones Golf Club with a slope of 144. However this should not discourage the average golfer as the course is designed also for the higher handicap player with generous landing areas and large greens. The dramatic setting combined with homes priced between $750,000 and $3,500,000 give the course a majestic feel and beckons the golfer to return time after time. The course includes bathrooms on holes 4, 15 and 10 along with a concessionaire at 10. These buildings were designed as appendages of the clubhouse with the same architecture.
